Update:

After careful consideration and consultation, taking into account the availability of the organising team and in particular, those who run and provide the bases at the event, we have decided to go ahead with October 2026 as our next edition of The Beavan Challenge.

As before, entries for 2025 can be kept for 2026 to guarantee your place for October 2026, or if you prefer, we can refund your fee.

We’ll see you next year.

Beavan 2026: Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October

Due to the weather forecast with storm warnings in place for Lancashire for the next 3-4 days, we have, as a committee, made the very difficult decision to cancel the Beavan for this weekend. The safety and comfort of everyone involved is our first and top priority, and with the expected conditions, we feel this is the most responsible course of action.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We know that you will all be very disappointed, as we are on the committee. We will meet as soon as we can to discuss alternative arrangements. It won’t be this year, but Tawd has suggested we could look at the spring. We will contact all entrants to let you know once we have a new plan.

If you want a refund, please get in touch with Sue Flush, and we can arrange to have this done.

If you are happy to leave your entry fee with us, then please advise, and we will keep it as a credit for the next event.

We are so sorry to have made this tough decision, but we feel, as a committee, it is the right thing to do.
